To qualify for the ECO (Energy Company Obligation) scheme, your household must meet certain eligibility requirements. The scheme is designed to help those on:
Low Incomes
Receiving Qualifying Benefits, including Universal Credit, Child or Working Tax Credits, Pension Credit, Income Support, Employment and Support Allowance, Housing Benefit, or Jobseeker’s Allowance.
You may also qualify through an NHS or GP referral if someone in your home has a health condition affected by cold living conditions. ECO grants cover insulation and other energy efficiency improvements, and the work is usually provided at no cost to you, helping you reduce energy bills and keep your home warmer. Homeowners and tenants can apply, though tenants need landlord approval before work begins.
